Thermal breezes from the ocean and higher elevation makes Casa Loma a refreshing escape from the hotter beach areas. Our location in the southern pacific part of Costa Rica is 10° north of the equator. On the average the sun rises at 6 a.m. and sets at 6 p.m. and only varies by 45 minutes either direction through out the year. The legend of the "Green Flash" at sunset really does exist, we've logged hundreds from the deck! The town of Dominical is 8 minutes drive from Casa Loma, and 2 minutes from the beach of Domincalito.
